I worked in the fluid power industry for all of my industrial career and became interested in the history of the technology when I retired in 2013. A large part of my work involved creating and delivering training presentations, which I still enjoy doing in retirement.

A History of Hydraulic Fluid Power

Hydraulic fluid power pays a large part in the background of all of our lives. This light-hearted talk uses animated illustrations of many of the applications it has been used for over the last 200 years and more, from the opening and closing of Tower Bridge to our fairground joy rides.
